Happy Thanksgiving from Orlando!

Everything is great here. We are getting ready to sit down to a nice dinner in about 30 minutes- I’m famished and the whole house smells wonderful of baked goods.Mom told us to get out of the kitchen so we aren’t in her way.

Just wanted to say Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

Home for the Holidays

After work I have to get home and pack my suitcase for my trip home. I always go home for Thanksgiving. My mom would be devastated if we didn’t come have dinner at her house.

Tomorrow I am getting a ride to the airport with one of the guys from work. He is a nice, fatherly type and I don’t mind asking him for a favor once in a while. He can drop me off at the airport at 8:00 and still get back to the office before they open.

When I get back on Sunday night I’ll just take a cab home. I know that Sunday will be a zoo at the airports with everyone trying to get back home. I wouldn’t ask a friend to go through that hell just for me to get a free ride home. I’ll take a taxi.

Words to Live By

This is the plaque that I want to have made up for my office. I love the sentiment and looking at it every day will keep me inspired. It’s kinda like a modern girl’s creed.

We Have a New President

They just announced on CBS TV with Katie Couric that they have declared Obama has won the election due to the electoral college votes. Not all the state’s votes are in yet, and I suspect we will find that McCain won the popular vote, but it was the electoral college that established the winner again in our U.S. history. So we are all looking forward to a lot of good changes over the next four years with Obama as our new President.

Time to Change Your Clocks!

This weekend is the end of Daylight Savings Time and we all get to sleep an extra hour! Yahoo! I like to change the clocks before I go to bed. I have to adjust two alarm clocks, a clock on the oven, a clock on the microwave, the clock on the VCR and the undercabinet clockradio in the kitchen. I hope my computer automatically changes the time setting and will check it in the morning. I hope you are able to take advantage of the extra hour and get some rest. Sleep tight everyone!
