I got this great idea from this little piece of clip art. Wouldn’t it be great to make this into a shadowbox? I could buy most of the materials from the craft store and then buy a little doll from the toy store. Just put it all together with a hot glue gun and a little paint. It would make a cool wall hanging for a little girl’s bedroom!
My girlfriends are all excited about reading their horoscopes now. One of them found a web site that takes your birth date and time of birth and then customizes a horoscope for you every day. If you sign up with them, they send you an email every day with your daily horoscope. My friend Janie swears that the hososcope has come true for her every day! I am probably going to check it out. For entertainment purposes, of course!
My mom called and told me that she went shopping today and tried to use a gift card to pay for her items, but the store would not take it. They said it had expired. I had never heard of gift cards expiring!
That bothers me a lot. I wonder where they have the fine print about expiring when you give someone a gift card. I have to go home tonight and look at all of mine and see if I can tell if they are still good.
My dad’s only brother is having a birthday today, so I wanted to wish him a Happy Birthday!
My Uncle Andy is a great guy – he works hard and has been taking care of his girlfriend and her two kids for about 12 years now. One of them is graduating from high school in June and my Uncle Andy is going to help him go to college. I think that is awesome for someone to take care of another man’s children.
Uncle Andy LOVES Kentucky Fried Chicken. He eats it for lunch almost every day. Every time I see a KFC ad or commercial, I think of my Uncle Andy!
I won’t get to see him tonight, but I hope he is going to enjoy a nice dinner with his family and friends.
If you haven’t filed your taxes yet this year, I bet its because you owe Uncle Sam some money. Almost everyone I know that was getting a refund filed their taxes months ago – when they first got their W-2s.
I got back about $500 – that’s not too shabby. I really wanted to spend it on new clothes and a few things for the condo, but with the economy so bad I decided to put it into a CD at my bank. I have to be careful with my money.
